The officers who servfH tk Awards Made At Commercial Club Annual Banquet When the Abbeville High School Commercial Club decided to go nautical, Old Man Weather did his best to complete the "seay" atmosphere by bringing the ocean, but despite the inclement weather, the spirit of the club members remained undaunted the occasion being their Seventh Annual Banquet, which was held at the Masonic Temple on Monday evening, May 25. The reception committee composed of Elie Meaux, Louella Boudreaux, Ann Kerksieck, Ang-eline Maneuso, and Forest Simon greeted the guests upon their arrival. The salutatory was presented by Miss Sophie Broussard, class prophecy by Ronold Stutes, class poem by Nell LeBlanc, class will by Roberta Baudoin, valedictory by Louise Domingues. Miss Lucille Dubois delivered the address for the presentation of the key and Miss Eunice Bodin accepted it in behalf of her class with an address of acceptance. The alumni a-ward was presented by Edward Landry.

Diplomas to members of the class were presented by U. P. LeBlanc, president of the Vermilion parish school board. Following the presentation of diplomas Rev. Mirat closed the program with benediction.

Funeral services were held here for Mrs. Aline Brous- sard Delcambre, 49 years old, of this city, who died in a New Orleans hospital. Mrs. Delcambre was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.

P. D. Brotissard of this city and the widow of Nic Delcambre, who at the time of his death, three years ago, was assistant cashier of the New Iberia National Bank. Mrs. Delcambre was born in New Iberia, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and active in church work.

She is survived by two daughters, Misses Mildred and Joyce Delcambre three brothers, P. J. D. and F. D.

Brous-sard three sisters, Mrs. T. A. Delcambre, Mrs. Paul Romero and Mrs.

Sidney Derouen; two stepsons, Whitney and Walter Delcambre; and two step-daughters, Mrs. Luke Viator and Mrs. F. D. Broussard, all of New Iberia.

Services were held at St. Peter's Catholic church and interment was at the local Catholic cemetery.
