FARM POPULATION DECLINES At the beginning of 1949, 19 out of 100 Americans lived or farms, according to a federal re port. Previous to the war about 23 out of a 100 people were on farms. While the high birth rate and the low death rate resulted in an increase in farm population last year of 1.2 per cent, this rate of increase was slightly below the gain for the total United States population. Miss Merna Cessac and Marc Gos-sehn represented Miss Frances Porta and" Mr. George Fisk wfth the ancient clothes worn by Miss Porta and Mr. Fiske on their wedding day. An up-to-date dress in 1895 was worn by Miss Katherine Brookshire. The dress was owned by Mrs.

Susie Arthur who is the grandmother of Mrs. E. N. Kirkpatrick. A show proof garb owned by Mrs.

George Fiske was modeled by Miss Agnes Kirkpatrick. A "fetching" number owned by Mrs. V. L. Caldwell was.
