Mr. Adams was a musician all of his adult life and had hopes of keeping traditional Cajun music thriving. His band, the Midnight Playboy Special was invited to play in Washington, Chicago and Florida music festivals.

He was a recognized musician in the Hall of Fame at Fred's in Eunice, the Erath museum, CFMA Cajun Culture, Lake Charles Chapters, as well as the Heritage Award, Lafayette Chapter. He was also an exceptional gardener away from his music. Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan conducted all funeral arrangements. Mrs. Marianne Harrington 1937-2002 Funeral services for Mrs.

Marianne Harrington, 65, were held Monday, July 15, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Crowley. Father Joseph Greenwell officiated. Mrs. Harrington died at 9:43 a.m.

Saturday, July 13, 2002 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was laid to rest at the Hebert Cemetery in Wright. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dalton (Sherilyn) Friou of Kaplan and Mrs. Sidney (Yolanda) Faulk of Abbeville; five sons, Harvey Meaux Jr.

of Kaplan, David Meaux of Midland, Samuel Meaux, Ricky James Meaux and Phillip Meaux, all of Kaplan; one sister, Mrs. John Easton (Mildred) Boudreaux of Kaplan; 15 grandchildren Stemmann was assigned to serve a dual role as pastor of St. John's in Henry and St. James in Esther. Lloyd Benoit and Rev. Mr. Kendal Faulk officiating the services. Mrs. Mire died on July 17, 2002 at her home in Kaplan.

She was laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Sidney Terry Mire of Branson, Missouri; two daughters, Dolores Mire McGee of Kaplan and Erin Gale Mire of New Iberia; two sisters, Nita F. Bonin and Lilly F. Lemaire, both of Kaplan; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Mire; her parents, Fertie Faulk and the former Erin Clark; and four brothers.
